I'm not seeing the 'holes' you are concerned about. All I'm seeing is normal bumps and spots but maybe I'm completely missing it. That leg looks really bad though. What kind of supplementation is this little one getting? Looking in your thread history I see that his leg has been bent since you got him, however, it looks like it has worsened.

He should have a dish of plain with out D3 calcium in his tank 24/7 in a milk or gatoraide lid so he can lap it as he needs it, then suppliment weekly/biweekly-ish with a multi vit. and calcium with D3 something like the repashy calcium plus ICB. The only holes I can see are his ears...

The Repashy Calcium Plus is an all-in-one supplement; if you're using it, you don't need anything else.

So are you saying to NOT keep a dish of the pure calcium in the tank then if you use the repashy calcium plus icb?

It's supposed so. An extra dish of plain calcium is not necessary with the Repashy Calcium Plus; but I know some people will include one. What I was referring to in my previous reply, is not to supplement other multi-vitamins on top of the Repashy.

I think the idea is about the balance of the vitamins and calcium in the formula, adding extras will throw off the balance.

The girl at the store was incorrect hon. Dish with pure calcium in it 24/7, suppliment like repashy calcium plus icb (contains calcium and D3 suppliment with a multi vit) dusted on feeders once a week for adult leos.

cheers :( I'm sure there was time, when you got your first leo that you knew nothing about them. I'd never even heard of leopard geckos until last year..

Actually hon I make it a point to learn all I can about an animal I'm interested in before ever getting it. Then I fine tune what I don't know which would be the non-critical info such as morphology, after I have the animal. IMO no one should invest in a pet with out having the very basic knowledge (anatomy, habitat requirements, feeding, supplimentation, heating and lighting needs) before the ever get the animal.

I did do quite abit of research before getting my leo.. it's just that before i heard about this site, i had alot of people telling me different things.. and i trusted them because they kept leos themselves. I get in abit of a panic if someone tells me something about what leopard geckos need and then im silly because i go and buy it.. and then I end up not needing it. I did originally think they were ears ( I'm silly and didnt think to research the anatomy) .. but someone last year told me they thought they were for breathing.. i guess I just trust people's advice more than I should, without getting second opinions.

But now that I have joined this forum :D I know I will learn about leos alot more.

Actually, the Repashy is supposed to be used at EVERY feeding (that is why an extra dish of plain calcium is not required). If I'm remembering correctly, the D3 level in the Repashy is 10 times less than the Repcal formula. :)
