I am going to start a colony of Dubia and as long as the leo is the right size you can feed any size of dubia. Adults can eat large dubias, and hatchlings and juveniles can eat small or medium.

i have dubias and hissers... and they're both pretty good... my young dubias grow way too fast, so for a hatchling, i will give them baby hissers... they stay smaller for longer... well for me they do...

but dubias look more filling... LOL...

The Turks are fast....my leos are too slow for them. The only one who eats them is my fat tail, she is great at catching them, but for some reason the leos just can't cut it.

Yes, I used to have turkistan roaches, but they were way too fast and the leopard geckos couldn't catch any. They were so fast that the leopard geckos were afraid of them. Then they would escape the bowl and go into tiny spaces under the paper towel, or in between the slate, and when you opened the lid to the tank the large male roaches would crawl up the highest hide and try to fly out. In the end I switched to mealworms... I like them better.

I have my dubia colony for a few years and just started with the lateralis. I think I like the lats better. I like how they are smaller and are softer bodied. The dubias grow too fast, and I don't like giving my geckos overly big items.

With the lats being too fast and escaping, I have a solution! Just pluck off a few legs and your gecko will have no problem catching them! ;)

p.s. I have to pull out the cricket jump legs anyway, so doesn't bother me much to pluck some more...
