Hi, New to leo and leo breeding...

Just some questions...
1. What the maturity age of Leos?
2. How do I know they are ready to breed/in season?
3. Any conditioning I have to do to the Leos before breeding?
4. Any special environment for breeding them?

And any special instruction when breeding them..

Got some questions about incubation and hatchlings too but will take one step at a time...

TIA

Right :
1. minimum weight of 45 grams and I would say at least 8 months. may be less for males.
2. Breeding season is from feb to september, people breed out of season but i like to keep in with it.
3. you do not have to condition your leos, however some breeders do, from what ive heard the people that dont, dont have any problems.
4. Normal set ups, have it a bigger enclosure for the female to get away, and make sure you have an egg laying box to hand.

Hope this helps
Ask what other questions you need. :)

Do geckos do a pre-lay shed?

Most leos shed every 2-4 weeks so it would be a chance that your gecko will shed before laying however, most female leos just before laying re arrange their enclosure, so yes they do go through some sort of pre lay shed. But also look for digging and make sure that egg laying box is moist enough.:main_thumbsup:
