most people will say at around 1 week its good to candle. i honestly don't candle any of my eggs. i would be mad if i missed something and tossed a perfectly good egg. i just incubate them all unless i know for sure they are duds.

Yeah i know but i was just curious, these are my very first pair of eggs and the eggs look good for this first timer and i know it's bad to mess around with them but just like this once lol for a few seconds. Even if i don't see anything inside im gonna leave em there not gonna throw any away till i notice they look and smell really bad.

You should be able to see something in about a week. I also don't toss the eggs just because I don't see something right away. I had one egg last year that I questioned the whole time, but left it alone. It was pretty nasty by the end, but I got a baby out of it.

Personally I would say its never a good time to candle eggs... Your eggs are going to either be fertile and hatch, be fertile and not hatch, or they will be infertiles... Candling will not change the result for the better... In fact, candling during later stages of development can actually cause an embryo to die if they move too suddenly and separate the vascular system from the egg membrane...
