OK i live in Miane and it's still very chilly at night (around 40 degrees F) and day time fluctuates from 50 to 65 and if we ar elucky 70 lol so I was wondering when would be a good time to get rid of the overhead lights for the season..have uth but will that be enough now or wait a bit? when it is time i want to get another red bulb that doesn't throw heat from idk where lol so i can still see in the tanks but i don't want to overheat them nor have them get cold at night..what's your thoughts?

If you've got a thermometer (which you should) you can get rid of the overhead heat during a time when you can monitor the temp all day. If it doesn't drop too low, it's ok to leave it off. If it does, give it a couple more weeks.

i do turn em off during the day but am more concerned about night..we still get chilly at night and hubby conserves oil so turns down the heat at night :/ so my main concern is at night when i cannot monitor it..heat isn't turned down til we go to bed..ugh
