I had the heaviest egg I ever had.....it actually weighed 11 grams.....it was at about 72 days. The clutch mate already hatched. I could see her image through the shell. I got a little concerned, a little more, and out came the ex-acto blade. Just a tiny hole was made, clear fluid started running and running, movement in the shell started wiggling, out shot this thing that looked like a small snake. It was 3 1/2 inches long ?? but it looked like about a foot. It still had half a pound of yoke unabsorbed attached. After giving it a few days to adjust and de-stress.......I weighed it. Three grams. Wow, what happened? Did it shrink? Sure doesn't look like a foot long now. Here she is right out and again after 10 days. Five grams now and "ready to ride." Take care / HJ
