hey all-
so we only have one leo, but buying crickets about once a week is starting to get annoying and a lil pricey.
i have read great things about keeping a dubia colony as a feeder colony. i think it seems simple enough. the problem is i can't find a good place to buy. also need advice on how many you think i would need to start a colony to feed only one leo?
thx-

you will need a good 20.20 nymphs with maybe a set of 6.6 adults.
I don't keep/feed roaches but From what I've researched that should be waht you need for a small starter kit. after that its a tub with egg crates in, and a heat source and bobs your uncle its a waiting game.

make sure that you have enough to feed your gecko without touching the a breeding colony. if you only get say 20, hoping those will breed, you may end up feeding them off before they breed.

http://www.blaberus.com/ has them

I've purchased from the forum here and on kingsnake. It's not really cheap anywhere you purchase dubia.
