Which lizard for this setup...

They sell plastic liners that fit the bottom of the cages to hold substrate. As far as what species to go in it, screen cages sort of limit your options. Yes chameleons do well in them, they also can work for anoles, small arboreal lizards like Long tailed grass lizards, emerald tree skinks, small iguanids, calotes, etc. If used horizontally, they can work for Bearded dragons, Rankin's Dragons, Uromastyx, and Chuckwallas. However, they are extremely bad at holding heat, so with high temp species like that powerful basking lamps are an absolute must.

They are perfect for chameleons! I used these cages when I was breeding chameleons. I used them for 6 years with out any problems what so ever. This is the only cage I suggest for chameleons.

Yup. As Rob said use a deep layer of water holding substrate as well as frequent misting. Live plants help as well. I also have found that covering 3 sides with plastic sheeting can help retain humidity if your house is particularly dry.

You should get some day geckos. Dang, I love those things. Perhaps some Lygodactylus williamsi
