I want to get a whites tree frog. I have had one before and i know alot about the care for them. So instead of buying a new tank i wanted to build a costom tank from wood and plexi glass for the door/ front. I wanted to know if a tank that is 30in tall by by 18in long by 12in deep would be big enough for one, and do you guys have any sugestions on what kind of things i should put in the tank.

That would be large enough for a frog, and give it plenty of room!

Whites like lower humidity, so put in vents on each side to help with air circulation to keep the humidity around 50%-60%. Polycrylic sealer will work to protect the frog from the wood, and keep the moisture out of the wood.

I prefer planted setups, and if so, pothos is a great plant. Grows fast and sturdy and can adapt to alot of setups. Stay away from grapewood as well, it molds easily in anything but desert setups. Manzanita is my favorite, its not too expensive and its a smooth hard wood.

I know your just trying to learn and all, and I'm not trying to start anything, but I thought you've kept them before?

I have kept them before i just wasnt sure about the lighting. Plus if they dont need them i will most likely not do a real plant set up but if they do then i will. So i just wanted to make sure and it will help me when i decide if i want real or fake plants.
