Why do we need two eclipse eyes?

Okay here is what I want to know. I know a few people are doing Super R.A.P.T.O.R. x Diablo Blanco crosses. However there is already a Super Snow Blazing Blizzard. The Super Snow already has an eclipse eye. The only difference between a Super Diablo Blanco, and a Super Snow Blazing Blizzard, is the extra eclipse eye gene. So why even bother, don’t you just get the same gecko, with a different gene, that doesn’t actually affect the geckos appearance? What is the point of this cross?

As far as I know nobody knows what a super snow Diablo Blanco will look like.... Maybe just like a normal super snow blazing blizzard, but something new can happen...... The only way we can find out, is just trying this cross.....

The worst thing that could happen is that you only get pure white animals with bright red eyes......:main_thumbsup:

well from a breeding standpoint there would be no way for them not to pass on the eclipse genotype whereas with only 1 eclipse gene it's 50-50.

im not sure it would be a good cross to do. Because there will be alot of babies that you wont be able to tell what they are. but i do know this there is only two breeders in the world that have breedable Super Raptors. and i know that one of them isnt doing the cross :main_thumbsup: IMO it is kinda pointless to do the cross because there is easier ways to get white geckos with solid red eyes. but something new could "pop" out of it. but a new thing could "pop" out of any new cross.

The Eclpise eye trait and the Snow eye trait are 2 sperate traits and not related as of this point in time. So they are different animals all together even though they exibit silimar eye traits. As for crossing DB with SR I really don't see the need either but hey the more genetics involed in a project the more results we see in the end and sometimes very interesting animals.

I think you've gone 1 generation to fare.It the first gen offspring that would be interesting.
T_albino eclipse super snow X T_albino eclipse blizzard =

Remember that these offspring body pattern could be anything from banded to patternless striped.I'll just refer to the eye as the example.
T_albino eclipse mack snow HET blizzard,Trait carriers of Jungle,Striped,Reverse striped,Patternless striped,Tangerine.

There a lot of genetics there for people to play with. And if you want to go 1 generation ferther it won't really hert.Just a case of if you want to ? do it :main_thumbsup: .

SSDB would be a good animal to have geneticly, and I would think the mack snow influence would void the animal of that ungodly yellow hue I have seen in a few images of DB:main_laugh:

Plus, depending on what you breed it to, you might like the pattern variation that comes with the (R)aptor/Eclipse complex. So long as it doesn't have serious issues due to soo many traits combining in a single animal...
