Judging from the fact that it's mouth is so often agape, it doesn't like you getting so "up close and personal". :main_laugh: Beadeds are so very cool! I've had my eyes on them for years, but sticker shock has kept me distanced. Congrats on picking that one up! :main_yes:

And.. Yes Brian.. We got Heloderma!!! To be exact Heloderma horridum exasperatum.

We got him/her from Steve at Hardcore Herps. We did a trade for the beaded lizard. I still can't believe I have one. Haha. I need to get a big cage for it. :main_thumbsup:

Yeah they are venomous but they have, in my experiance, puppy dog potential. But don't ever let your guard down because they still are in all effects a wild animal. Also thought I'd mention that all of Varanidae, Anguidae, and potentially Iguanidae, Chamaeleonidae, and Agamidae are venomous as well. Dr. Brian Fry did a study on it and proved that Monitors are all venomous and even the Bearded Dragon produces a toxin that was previously only found in rattlesnakes. I was really excited when I found this out.

yes your right even Bearded Dragons have venom but they would have to chomp on you for a very very long time for it to enter your body in enough volume to cause any damage

It is growing very quickly.. And it eats like a little pig. 2 Rat Pinks a week.
