........I was a part of a team that did a triathlon (and I totally didn't check the dates ahead of time - DOH!!!)

Anyhow, I'm pretty pleased with the results, needless to say. :D

We were third in the Long Relay, 14 and over. The two teams ahead of us were both all men, as were the two teams behind us. We were the first all women team, third overall. They messed up our events - I was the runner, not the swimmer - but just wanted my buddies that went to Anaheim to know why I wasn't present and having a kick ass time with them. ;) Plus, I'm pretty excited and proud that we did so well. :D

I did miss you guys this weekend, though. TONS. And I still owe Nigel Marvin a gecko, and now I owe Wes breakfast. ;)

Nancy already told me I had to write the date AS SOON AS IT'S UP next year so this little double booking issue won't happen again. So..........see you guys next year. Or, I'll see you in Sac in a few weeks. ;)

Congrats! That is a huge achievement! Swimming I would think is the hardest event, especially if you weren't planning on doing the swim portion. That was actually my New Years Resolution to run a road race for charity and a life long goal of mine is to do a triathlon. What are the T1 and T2 times/rank on the spreadsheet- Transitions?

Thanks so much!!

I have no idea what the T and T2 times are. And I agree, the swim is the hardest, which is why I'm thankful to my teammate Susan that did it, not me. I've done it in the past, but I'm not a strong swimmer - it scares me a little. ;)

My other teammate Ann did the bike portion, and it was a little scary, considering one of the women bikers had a car cut right in front of them.......and she flew over the car and got injured really badly. :( My husband thought it was our teammate at first, since he heard that it was an "Ann" that got hit. :( I don't really know much more, and I can't find any information about her. I just hope she's OK. :(
