I was reading about genetics and practicing percentages and punnet squares over the weekend. (I had nother better to do) So at any rate, why isn't my mack snow fasc enigma a creamsicle? His father was a tang enigma and the mother was a snow x fasc cross. Wouldn't the offspring be considered f1 creamsicles? Or is it because he's not a visual creamsicle? I believe he's the brother to Fallen Angel's Fasc Enigma, but he has less white than most snows and the background of his body color is orange, yellow, with lavender circles. He's very unique looking.

He sounds lovely...maybe he is a mack fascio creamsicle enigma?
Can we see? Sounds exciting!

I'm still learning all about the morphs/genetics though; maybe someone else could tell us better.

Coz a Creamsicle is a Super hypo snow tangerine.
Ooohhh... that makes sense and thanx for clearing that up. But the genetics from the tang enigma parent are there or else he wouldn't have the orange and lavender, right?

He's missing the super hypo factor, so he's not a creamsicle. but he is very lovely. I've got pictures of him however, they are taken with the flash on and that washes out his coloration. I'll try to post some w/o the flash so you can see his colors. He has small black spots too!

My understanding of creamsicle (at least the way they look at JMG) is orange and white bands of color which they got by breeding SHTCT with snow. I have a holdback from that pairing that essentially looks like a regular SHT and I wouldn't consider her a creamsicle. Interestingly, the most creamsicle looking hatchlings I got last year were from my super snow x snow/fasciolatus cross. Just about all the SHTCT x super snow yellowed out and didn't look so nice.

thanks for sharing eliza. I kept looking at him yesterday and I was like, he doesn't look very snowy...well he does, but not really. Mayb its the snow fasc cross that brings out the colors when combined with the tang? I'm going to grab him and see if I can get a pic. He's very camera shy.

here's the best pics I could get of him just now. they aren't the best but they are w/o the flash. He kept trying to hide in my fro or go inside of my ear! lol! he hates the camera.

He is a very pretty gecko with that nice lemon yellow color from the fasciolus. I checked JMG's site again. What they are calling creamsicle seems to really be super hypo with no black spots on the body. Originally they featured high contrast bands or jungle patterning of orange or deep yellow with white. Now I see a few on their site that look just like very orange SHTCT's. I like the high contrast ones better.
