First off it depends on how old it is & how long you have had it. Also they can be very timid and are nocternal so if the room they are in is lit up even without a light above they can think it's daytime.

Ive had him just over a month, doing as every good gecko should.. mauling food. pooing, Watched him shed today.

even noticed him doing strage little thing that people post about, like yawning and things...

Ill give him some more time, see how it goes..

My gf has one that does the same thing just stays and hides. She has only had it for a little over 2 weeks. I think its just pretty common atleast at first.

One thing you need to know when keeping reptiles is that they can seem "boring" if you are looking to see constant action.
I have snakes that sit in the same spot for days on end.

They are reptiles. Their metabolism does not allow them to be active all the time. What you are seeing is typical, natural, reptilian behavior. Reptiles are not social animals and would rather be squeezed into a dark hide alone than to be out in the open where predators can pick them off. As much as leos are bred in captivity, they still have all of their wild instincts. They are not domesticated.

If you want a pet that is constantly in motion, small mammals might be better for you.

don feel bad, i have 5 leos and all of them stay in their hides 24/7 except to eat. and if the lights are on 4 of them wont come out to eat at all. i can handle all of them no problem. 2 are 2 or 3 years old and the others are 5 months old so i dont see this ever changing. in the future i will be choosing leos based on personality, i want to know how shy they are and if they are inquisitive before i make a purchase

Should i be worried that it stays in its Moist hide...raher than the dry ones.

Ive read that too high a humidity can cause respiratory problems. Obviously being in the moist hide all the time its going to be humid...

i have 3 dry hides now in the tank to encourage him into those.
