Why won't my gecko eat mealworms?

I don't know why my gecko won't eat mealworms.
He eats his crickets all the time but he'll rarely eat mealworms.
I hold a mealworm up to his mouth, he licks it, and then he seems to ignore it.
Even if I just put it on the ground he never seems to eat them.
Do you think I should buy him superworms or waxworms?

just like my gecko.
he was attracted to mealworms not until i introduce him to crickets.
they are more attracted to larger preys and faster ones too.
try not giving your gecko his cricket for a mean time and he will eat those mealworms in a few days.

Your gecko just must not be interested in meal worms. Some leos are very piciy on what they eat.
