Wild caught geckos and panacur question?

Ive recently order a pair of wild caught flying geckos. Its probably a given that they will have parasites and most likely mites.

can the Panacur liquid be given to geckos? I know they are more sensitive them beardies. Also if they do indeed have mites what do I use to control them??.I am afraid to use the typical sprays since they do lick water off the cage walls. And unfortunately Im having them shipped with some other geckos so will have to treat everyone.

Just like to be prepared ahead of time because I really want these flyers to be healthy enough to breed.

I have had Panacur prescribed for my wild caught SW banded geckos and they've been dosed with no problems. I know there are several techniques for treating mites, but fortunately I've never had to do it. I highly recommend you take the whole crew, along with fecals, to a reptile vet to get started on the right path with them.

I do my own fecals and dose my own reptiles for various parasites. However I have not had geckos other then the cresties and leos(who are all clean).. I know the dosages to give as well, just needed to know if I could safely use it on the more sensitive animals..If I need help I will call the vet, we work together with my dog rescue. However she does not do reptiles although she will call around for me if I do need help.
The mite issue is more of a concern then anything else. When I first started with reptiles I had a vet inject my snake with ivermectin and kill it.Vets dont get alot of respect from me. Except with dog and cat issues. IVe used lice spray with no problem with but this stuff is very toxic. I wont be using it on the new geckos so need an alternative..

I don't know if this will be helpful at all, but Gecko Time had a "readers' questions answered" section awhile ago where some experienced keepers addressed the mite issue. It's here:
Readers? Questions Answered: Mites and Golden Geckos | Gecko Time

Since your panacur question is about whether sensitive geckos will do OK with it, I wonder if the vet you trust has email access to reptile vets that could give an opinion based on the species (just a thought).

I called her the other day and she is going to look into it for me and get back to me next week. But after doing a pretty indepth search on the internet it appears Panacur is given to geckos like cresties and leos pretty regularly so I imagine they would be okay. Its scary when the animals are soooo small.

My one flyer is not doing well. The big one is mite free but the small one is only 3 inches if that and he has a ton of mites too.He is rather thin and didnt fight me much when I was using a qtip and oil to get off the mites(when they get lathargic its usually not good). IDK, he may not make it. Ive got him in a small shoebox bin, nice and humid and warm.
