Will a red bulb bother my Albino?

My house is pretty cool now and I've added a red bulb to raise the ambient temps. I use a UTH. Will this bother my albino? And is it ok to leave the red bulb on 24/7? I have it on a dimmer set pretty low to help with the air temps.

if it's an infrared buld leos don't see the infrared colour.I't just like being in the dark for them.But if it's a red bulb yes that would affect them

I think Roger is trying to imply a ceramic heater, I suggest using one of those for your albinos cage if you want to raise air temps, as the albinos might be effected bythe red light;

Geckos can't see the color red. In fact, if you need to add a light, red would be the most ideal for your geckos.

Srt- when i had only a couple of leos,i used to use an infrared bulb to supplement the belly heat and also to view them at night.There are 2 kinds of red bulbs,the red coloured bulbs which the geckos can still be disturbed with.It's still like shining a bright ligght on them and there is the INFRARED bulbs which doesnt disturb their eyes and allows night time viewing.But it has to say the word "infrared" on the box hope this helps

That does help. Thank you! I think I need to replace my bulbs. I just thought the red ZooMed were the one and the same as infrared.

I hear everyone say that they can't see a red light but place one beside their eyes and their pupals will get smaller. If they can't see the light then how can their pupals be affected by them? I am curious about this topic. I have tested it on one of my SHTCT's and you could tell that he was affected by it.

I know normal geckos eyes are less effected by red, however you are forgetting albinos eyes are alot more sensitive to light then normal leos, i have had a few albinos that HAVE been effected by red light, the ceramic heater uses infared heat waves to heat up the tank, this is what i was implying. So i know they cannot see infared.
So thanks for the advice Roger but I did know what I was trying to convey.

But infrared bulbs are still red aren't they? Ceramic heaters are completely different I believe. I was hoping to just buy a infrared bulb to use in my regular dome lamp to replace the regular red ZooMed bulb. All very confusing now . . . .

Infrared, infra meaning under, red meaning the red section of the visible spectrum. Infrared radiation is not light, per se. It is electromagnetic radiation with a longer frequency, id est, heat in the simplest of terms.
