Will fertile eggs candle pink right after laying?

Been a while since I've had leo eggs, can't remember if it's immediate for them to candle pink. So excited becuase I got my first eggs from my black pearl. She laid them last night and the eggs look good but when I candled them today they show no veins and just have the yellow look inside. I know I should prepare myself that her first couple clutches or whole season could possibly be infertile since this is her first season breeding but I am keeping my fingers crossed for some BP cross babies.:main_thumbsup: Any advice appreciated.

If you see no veins in the egg when you hold a light up to it, then the eggs are not fertile. Good luck though, BP are cool looking leos.

This season I had multiple clutches that candled yellow when layed but were plump and in about 2 or 3 weeks they were pink and vein-y.

Just an update to this comment, it may take several days to a week and a half before you can notice any veins. If they candle pink they are probably fertile. That being said follow the advice above and incubate until they grow mold for sure. Good Luck.

Thanks all. I guess I'm more used to Beardie eggs where you can tell from the "get go" if their fertile or not. I do remember in the past having some very sketchy leo eggs hatch, so I like the growing hair rule :) Here's hoping to seeing a pink glow soon!!!
