I witnessed my male and female copulate. She laid one infertile egg outside of the lay box last Wednesday, 3/16. It has almost been a week and she still has not laid the other egg. I think, but I'm probably not right, she is keeping it in her to fertilize it. She has the other egg in her, but when we she lay it?

Sometimes they lay only 1 egg in a clutch and either the second egg doesn't develop or gets re-absorbed, so you may not get a second egg this time around.

this happened to my aptor who laid one egg but then rebounded with a succession of 2 egg clutches

Well, she laid the other egg on 3/28, and it's looking to be infertile. Just hope I get some good eggs from her! She is a Mack Raptor and was paired with my Mack Snow het Raptor:main_cool3: Hoping for the Super Raptor I have always wanted :p

I would put the male back in to make sure of fertility
