i got an emergency call yesterday that forced me to leave my place in a hurry to go see my family. im worried about my leo now. he had water in his dish before i left although im not sure how much and it usually only lasts a couple days. but i cant get back for atleast 5 more days. he has a big fat healthy tail and he ate 6 mealies each day for the 2 days before i got the call.

will he be ok without water for the week? some sites i read say he will be ok for a couple weeks if he was eating large meals beforehand and had access to lots of water before the dish dried up.

please help me stop worrying or let me know if i should call my landlord to beg them to go into my apartment to give him water.

I'd say he'll probably be OK, after all, they are from dry arid areas, where water is probably not available all the time.

I think he should be fine. If he has a humid hide he may also lick the condensation (if it has not dried out). I'd forgotten to fill one of my leo's water dish once after washing it; he went 2 days with no water, he did fine just very thirsty. When I found out and refill his dish, he went straight to it and lapped water for several minutes non-stop (ok, maybe he did stop in between).
