Will this work? (A mealworm idea)

I understand that gut loading your mealworm is priority before feeding them to your gecko. What I've been encountering is that the mealworms don't last more than 2 days in the food dish. I was wondering if it would be okay to have a little layer of wheat bran and a little slice of carrot in the food dish. I'm assuming this will keep the mealworms alive and healthy for the duration of it's stay in the gecko food dish before it gets eaten. Has anyone ever tried this?

If the mealworms aren't eaten by the next morning, I toss them back into the feed cup for the worms to gutload again and then toss them in on the next feeding. Otherwise, sometime I just toss them out and feed them new mealworms next time.

I usually have a seperate container for every gecko that I have just incase they dont eat their mealworms I put them in the container and re-gutload them and put them next to geckos cage so next feeding time I can just re-offer what they didnt eat last time. Its best not the throw the mealworms back in the feeding bin. All food offered to your geckos that have not been eaten needs to be thrown away or re-offered to the same gecko. This helps reduce the spreading of parasites and other things can make your geckos sick.

I always put gutload in the dish with the mealworms so they don't climb out.

Hey! Thats a good idea! If i don't hand feed them i will sometimes put a couple in a little dish, but a few always manage to get out, and i was wondering what i can do to keep em in! The dish i use is one of those little dishes that they give you at the table in a sushi restaurant that u pour the soy sauce into... lol... I was havin sushi one nite, and pouring soy sauce into it to dip my sushi in, and then the idea popped in my head "hey, i can use this as a food dish!" So i asked the waitress if i could have one and she asked why n i told her, n she said sure, n gave me one! lol...

I do the same thing. I currently use sushi accessories for both water and mealies.
