Alright now I understand how to do your basic punnett square (4x4).

Now lets say I wanted to make pattern less blazing blizzards (albino pattern less blizzard).

Now if I used triple het’s Aapb X Aapb I get it but here is where I get confused... What if I had an albino het. bliz het. patty (aapb) and a normal het. bliz het. patty het. albino (Aapb).

If I do a 4x4 square I can get normals het. for all 3 but if I do an 8x8 square I can get normals het for all 3, normals het for 2, and normals het for 1...

What one is right?

Here’s one that’s even worse............

Lets say I had a Mack snow bell (Ssbb) and I breed it to a Mack snow enigma het. bell (Ssbe).

A 4x4 tells me I will get

SSbb 12.5% (supper snow bell)
SSbe 12.5% (supper snow enigma het. bell)
Ssbb 25% (Mack snow bell)
Ssbe 25% (Mack snow enigma het. bell)
ssbb 12.5% (bell)
ssbe 12.5% (enigma het. bell)

If I do a 8x8.... Well I cant idk what to do now mack snow bell (SsBbBb??? is this right) mack snow enigma het bell (SsEeBb I am sure this is right).

I hope you see what I am trying to say.

I don’t breed leos and I just got my first leo lol but I am fascinated by there genetics.

Thanks in advance :)

P.S. Please forgive any spelling errors.

You should actually be able to do it as a 4x8 punnett square.
First your Albino het patternless, het blizzard would be aaPpBb giving you the following to put in your punnett square:
aPB, aPb, apB, apb

The normal triple het would be AaPbBb giving you the following for your punnett square:
APB, APb, ApB, Apb, aPB, aPb, apB, apb

Give your punnett square a try with those.

The second one you have there is actually easier than the first and can be done with a 2x8 punnett square.
Snow bell SsbbEE (the EE aren't necessary but it helps when filling in the punnett square.)
SbE, sbE

Snow enigma het bell SsBbEe
SBE, SBe, SbE, Sbe, sBE, sBe, sbE, sbe

When you do it this way it makes it clear the advantage of buying visual recessives rather than hets. For example if you replaced the snow bell with a super snow bell you would have a 1x8 punnett square.

Yeah I always thought you could only do 2x2, 4x4, 8x8 and so on...

idk Why because I mess around with this stuff all the time, now that I know it I don’t get why I never saw it lol

Thanks =)!!!

I hate adding up all the identical boxes in a Punnett square. To minimize that, make a 2x2 Punnett square for each locus, line the results up, and cycle through them. Each column makes a full cycle before the next column to the left cranks over one place. And multiply the fractions.

Pp Bb aa X Pp Bb Aa -->
1/4 PP 1/4 BB 1/2 Aa
2/4 Pp 2/4 Bb 1/2 aa
1/4 pp 1/4 bb

1/32 PP BB Aa
