Worried... Have no idea what to do...

Okay, so I woke up this morning and went to take Kiya out of her enclosure.
There was something different about how she felt when I held her. So, I decided to weigh her. Well, last time she was weighed she was 63-64 grams. This time she was 54-55 grams. I have no idea why she has lost so much weight. Like I mentioned before she stopped eating about two to two and a half weeks ago...

My first instinct was to take her to the vet to get her looked at. I have no idea if they are even open today so I have to call and find out. Secondly my vet here doesn't really deal with reptiles... :( I am so scared I have no idea what to do. My mom is concerned about how much money it will cost me to bring her and get her looked at so she started saying "Maybe it's normal for her". Of course, I argued considering that is the one thing I have been told to watch, is her weight.

She pooped last night and it looks normal, but it was very little due to not getting much in her stomach. I have been feeding her small amounts of baby food with some calcium mixed in the past couple days.

My second option was to start feeding her the Slurry... but I don't know what is the best thing to do... Help please...

Get her to a vet. Usually a check-up and fecal sample will cost you $50-75 and it is well worth it.

- Good way to find a qualified herp vet in your area. There's a Canada section below the U.S. section.

I found my vet there. She's considerably farther than local vets but definately worth it for her expertise.

The only herp vet close to me is 4 hours away and I do not have a car.. Unfortunetly.
I know there is one vet in town that is willing to see them, but if it's something that can't deal with then we will get tranferred to the herp vet out of town. I am so scared...

Try and take a deep breath and calm down. The best thing you can do in this situation is keep your composure for the sake of the animal.

Sounds like you should take her to the local vet and see if they can do anything.

Best of luck!

Vet in town here said all of the geckos she has treated have died... That does not make me feel any better... :( She said she could be egg bound.. and so she suggested perhaps taking an Xray... It will cost $150 to get her in and have her take an Xray.. Neither I, or my boyfriend can afford that right now... Unless I take it from my saving for school and replace it later.

What worries me is the vet has not even SEEN the gecko, yet she is telling you she could be egg bound? She COULD be a lot of things, but without the proper tests and everything you can't know. What does her belly look like Jess? Eggs are VERY clear.

Tried calling the herp vet out of town.... get an answering machine with an emergency number. That emergency number gives me another number, which tells me that they don't deal with reptiles.

I have a camera, but it doesn't take good pictures at all... I will try to see if I can take a picture... maybe it will work and you will be able to see something.

Okay, I got some but the camera is a crappy one so you might not be able to see much... I tried to take as many as I could. Just going to add them to photobucket, then I will add them on here.

I am finding out from a friend if I can borrow his camera.. I don't know for sure if he will be able to find it to lend it to me though... But at least maybe that way I can get decent pictures.

I wasn't at all put at ease by the vet. She said every leopard gecko she has seen has died... How am I supposed to feel comfortable bringing Kiya to see her?
