Dredful pic I know but to me it looked like undigested shed was a good 2 inches long, someone on another forum said it could be moss from her humid hide. I hind sight I wish I had disected it, and not just took a pic and chucked it.

no problem I thought she now passed it she should start eating soon, nop we now 14 days not eating, normaly I hand feed and she eating again by now, so I thought no prob she a good 80g's it not gonna hert her going a few weeks without food. But she now started to behave odd, she getting up earlyer than normal and laying out flat, and then she wanders up and down the front of her viv clinbing up the glass, she also been spending loads of time in her humid hide and been diggin in there. I know its breeding season but she 6 months old been no were near a male.

It like she realy unconftable

here a some pics of her laying out

I have a video of her wandering around, but taking age's to upload and wanted this posted ASAP.

The only thing that has changed resently was I gave her a larger humid hide as she had grown out of the old one and was having problem shedding.

any idea would be good as I starting to worry about her and not shore were to go from here.

Thanks

the urates in that poop look really poor. Not sure what other then dehydration could cause yellow urates like that. She herself looks good on the exterior, atleast she has a decently fat tail. Any food changes?

is it possible shes no longer wants mealies? ive read that adults may go off them for some reason. I may be worth trying to feed her crickets.

To me, it looks like she maybe ate some moss. I have 2 males that ate the moss in their humid hides. When they did that, they refused food. Vomited and pooed moss. (Poo and vomit look that same, so this is gonna sound gross, but to tell the difference I smelled it. Vomit had no smell) The moss also seemed to constipate them. After I removed the moss, it took a few days for them to get all the moss out, after that they went back to eating. I tried to put the some moss back and they just ate it again, so no moss for them. I'd take the moss out of her hide. She could still be eating it, that is why she's uncomfortable and not eating.

Ok will take the moss out of her hide, any ideas of what I can use instead, paper towel is a pain in the bum to keep the humidity up.

should I up the warm end (currently 31*c / 88f) and give her a warm bath?

she no poop at all now for over a week

I use sponge in my hides. So far no ones eaten a chunk of that. I keep my warm end at 92-94 surface temp. Uping the temp should speed things up. A warm soak wouldn't hurt anything to help move the moss though. It' been a while but I'm pretty sure it took at least a week for my geckos to sort themselves out.

Ok taken the moss out and put wet paper towel in for the time being. When my boyfriend locate the small screw driver will up the stat to up the temp. Had her out to weigh and a gentle feel of her belly, weight is stable and while putting her back I foolishly rubbed her chin and she bit me. First gecko bite and it wernt that bad, as I move my finger away and just skimmed her teeth.

Thats defo undigested shed. Your temps are slightly to low so upping it a few degrees will help. as for the dehydration just pipette a few drops of water on her mouth till she licks it (takes a while but be patient), the extra water will also help flush her system out a little.
No way is she only 6months old at that weight! thats crazy lol
My lot go off their food all the time, they used to love crickets, went off them and now a year later they are eating them again *sigh8
If your going to use a sponge in her hide make sure you get some proper bacteria as sponges harber bacteria really well.
She is in great condition so will be okay for a few more weeks yet, you can also send a faecal sample to the vets to check for parasites just to be sure.

counted wrong
she was about 4 weeks old and 8g's when we got her, and that was the end of june last year. So that will make her 8 months at the end of this month. Weigh her again today is it said 80g's.

been meaning to do a fecal test for some time, but money always ends up going else were. She not pooping at the mo so nothing to test for the time being. Will try the droplet thing, tryed it before and she wouldn't lick it off her nose, she does go up the the water bowl pop her nose in that kind of jump and backs off.

wish I could show the vid of her wandering up and down, accidently filmed it in HD and to big to upload. will have to wait for her to do it again.

They could ovulate at 8 month old, so no not too young. Put her in a clear container/bowl, look at her belly from the under side and look for pink dots & bulges. They look like this. If she's ovulating, it could explain why she's not eating.

You took moss out, which is good. Use either paper towels or coco fiber. Coco fiber is often used to double up as both moist hide & laybox for females.

Trying to droplet them water can some times take hours, you just have to stick at it. :) alternately the other way is to try to get them to bite it and slowly add a little water as they do, this will automatically make them start to drink. but its far more stressful that way.

I starting to get a little concerned she maybe getting dehydrated, not seen her drink at all, and we are now 19 days without food.
