Hi, these just hatched today from three different female breeders (hets for R.A.P.T.O.R.) that were impregnated by a sole male R.A.P.T.O.R. All possess full reddish eyes (left and right).

Breeder Female: Tremper Albino Het R.A.P.T.O.R.

Hatchlings: Banded R.A.P.T.O.R.s? Or should I call them Banded R.A.T.O.R.s? :main_laugh:

Breeder Female: Carrot Tail Jungle Tremper Albino Het R.A.P.T.O.R.

Hatchlings: Classic R.A.P.T.O.R.s?

Breeder Female: Carrot Head Carrot Tail Jungle Tremper Albino Het RAPTOR

Hatchlings: Tremper Albino Enigma & Nova? I didn't notice anything weird until they started to wobble walk and do the "enigma circle dance". Only then, I started to notice that they look rather different than the rest of the R.A.P.T.O.R.s. Neither mommy nor daddy possess the enigma genes. Infact I am still cooking the nova eggs that I got from a different pairing. But a surprise such as this is the best gift...EVER! :main_thumbsup:

Sorry for the crappy pictures. I didn't even bother to take some proper ones. Too many of them babies now to properly photograph each and everyone. :)

Regards

Yup. I am sure. Daddy is a R.A.P.T.O.R. (het for nothing) while mommy is Carrot Head Carrot Tail Jungle Tremper Albino Het R.A.P.T.O.R. I am baffled myself. If anybody could explain this, I am all ears.

Anyway, what do the last two look like to you if they both exhibit the enigma traits?

Thanks in advance.

I forgot to add this little info i.e. all of them possess full red eyes (both eyes). I saw some R.A.P.T.O.R.s which do not have the red eyes while some have the red color on either one of the eyes. Due to such observation, I was wondering whether the full red coloration in the eye/s may fade in due time? :main_huh:

Can we see the parents? That might hep us some...They're very lovely, you are lucky to hit all red eyes on the first attempt with hets. They look great!

There is No way you could have hatched an Enigma from Non Enigma Parents. Unless this is a First.

Are you sure you didn't happen to mis-lable eggs?

Or has the Enigma male been in at any time with the female thats pictured?

How do you house your breeders?

What is you breeder Enigma het for? Or is it a Nova?

How many projects total do you have and How many animals total? This might help clear a few things up.

Those are the possibilities...but I am sure that I didn't mislabel the eggs. And my male tremper enigma poss. het raptor was no where near the female. He was breeding my female R.A.P.T.O.R. He did prolapsed during the first copulation though and I have stop breeding him this season.

Each is being housed in an exoterra modeled PT2310.

I have lost count. But I will re-check my records and update the thread.

Can you get a better shot of the father?
Alright. I will take a few more pictures of daddy and upload them here.

If they hatched out will full red eyes, will they fade as they age? I saw some in the net without red eyes or partial red eyes but still considered as R.A.P.T.O.R.s. That would not concur with the definition of the name R.A.P.T.O.R. because "R" in the word represents ruby-eyed. Or am I missing something here?

:)

mhm...
very pretty.
But at first sight daddy looks like a non-enigma to me.
But I´m not sure, a full body pic would help.:)

I didn't manage to take any pictures yesterday. But I managed to find his picture from geckosetc's web that I saved a few months ago.

This is him:

Picture courtesy of geckosetc.com - Hope you don't mind Steve :)

So what do you think? I bought him as a R.A.P.T.O.R. And to my eyes he does look like one.
