Well my little diablo blanco from CrestedGecko.com arrived bright and early this morning via Fed Ex. And OMG was he pissed! As soon as I opened his little deli container he started screeching at me! I put him in his tank and he stood there all badass-like and continued to screech at my daughter and I. Poor little guy, I felt bad for him but it was so hilarious. I'll take some pictures when he calms down a little :)

That's way too funny :main_laugh: All the ones I've gotten in mail were super docile when I took them out of the deli container. Leave it up to the lil ones to have the energy and attitude lol.

How are they shipped? Are they in special containers so they don't get banged around?

Some use small enough deli cups to make sure they don't get banged around, some put them in larger containers. I've purchased from 4 different breeders and they sorta have their own way.

They all use things like the kits shown.

It must be pretty traumatic for them to be jammed into a small container and then be in the dark bouncing around in a truck.

Ya know, I'm not really sure. Is there a way to tell this early? I'm afraid to get too close to his face. I posted pics in "Show Off Your Leos". Maybe someone will be able to tell.

Well, once he's comfortable and acclimated, and has maybe aged and grown a bit bigger, you can handle him for short amounts of time. For now, he needs to rest and just get used to his new home for a while.

If you can see his eyes, it should be rather obvious to tell if they're snake-eyed or solid just by looking. If they're snake-eyed, half the eye will be red, the other half will be regularly pigmented. If they're solid-eyed, they will be solid red. Solid eyed DBs are the best!

It's usually specified when a gecko is listed for sale if they have snake eyes or not, it would probably be for sale as "Snake Eyed Diablo Blanco." If it wasn't listed as this, you have a great, all-red-eyed gecko on your hands! I'm jealous!

ahhh so jealous!!! DB's and Snows, my new obsession. Hopefully I'll convince my parents that a new leo is less of a hassle then another dog or cat :p 'Aim high so that what you really want doesn't seem like such a big deal' words to live by XD

Your new baby is gorgeous by the way, good luck with the little screecher, sounds like he has a big attitude....highly entertaining I bet lol
