I'm very happy; my little guys trust me now and will voluntarily walk up my hand! Hooray!! A few days ago, Lemzip was still very defensive, trying to chase and bite my hand, but all that was history now! :D I just want to share what happened.

Well, I noticed Lemzip likes to climb glass on top of his humid hide when he thought no one is around; so one night, I sneakily put a finger under his leg (like a stepping stone), and slowly lift him up as if he is really climbing up the glass himself. When he reached the top rim of his tank, I put my other hand there for him to land. And while he's on my palm, I talked to him in the softest voice. I did the same thing for 3 consecutive nights, and finally, while he's "playing" on top of his humid hide again last night, I just put my hand right next to him. And voila, he just walked up!!

There is a down side to this though. Both of my new geckos ate more when they were still nervous in the new environment; now that they feel more comfortable and not scared of me, they're getting restless and prefer roaming the tank instead of eating their food. I might need to leave mealworms in their tanks 24/7 now.

I wish a couple of mine were that easy, I have 2 that do not like being touched after months of me trying!

How great! They didn't take long to warm up to you did they? We have a few that are really spoiled. They are so used to getting to hang out on our shoulder everyday that they dig at the corners of their tubs at feeding time instead of eating right away. They came from Jeanne though, so I have a hunch that they were allready spoiled when they got here, lol.

I was wrong!! Lemzip became a "little shark" again! :bigcry:

Last night, while I was tidying up the small stones that he'd kicked out of place, he attacked the stone that I put down near him. I thought, oh well, he must have thought the stone was an insect and didn't think much of it. But he did it again today while I was picking up his fresh poo; this time he bit my finger. So, I picked him up and talked to him in baby voice for a looooong time (about 3 minutes...). I hope he'll get used to me soon; I'll talk to him again tomorrow night!

p.s. He is really chubby and cute though!!

He's seems fine when he's on my hand; he might be extrememly territorial, don't want me to touch anything in his tank? LOL I ain't too worry, I know he'll eventually calm down. I just find this really funny, as he's such a chubby little cutie, yet acting like a little shark..."RAAA....Don't come near me~ I'm gonna eat ya!!!! RAAA!!!" LOL :main_laugh:

Hehehe sounds like my little blizz Shiro. When I first got him he'd screech and hiss up a storm all while biting and lunging for my hand, but once he was in my hand he was like "oh, ok this is cool I guess..." LOL.
