Yellow on tail

I know that there is a carrot tail and i have a gecko that has a little ring of orange but he also has yellow on his tail know. He is a regular leo so would the yellow be consitered carrot tail or is it something else?

working the yellow into the tail is an on going project that Jeff Jr and Sr has been working on called the Hyper Xanthic line. From what i remember they have been working on it for about 7ish years and have come very close to breeding a 50% yellow tail.

There are some others that i know of will be working with the Hyper Xanthics in the next few seasons attempting different things with them as well.
