This is a SnowGlow from '08. I took him to Daytona this past August with the intention of selling him. It was there that a customer first noticed the strange white spot on his jaw. It was small then, but has now grown considerably, and even has a palpable mass to it. The coloration is much more striking in person. Has anyone else had this pop up on any of their geckos?

Very interesting, Jason! Does it feel normal, it almost looks boney if that makes sense?

I have never seen anything like that in leos, but hatched a suriname boa with a similiar " growth". I never got it tested, but it stayed relatively small and never affected her. It was not genetic either from my findings.

Very interesting. I was going to use this guy as a breeder this year, but I'm kind of hesitant without knowing if it will affect the offspring.

you could always get a vet to do a "babopsy"(my big fat greek wedding quote) and see what it is.

I know this is about a gecko and all but my dog developed a fatty tumor on her neck the vet said from her bumping into things when she tried to jump onto them. I started out small and got larger. It sounds similar to yours in size and feel. The vet told me it isn't hurting her in any way it just looks bad, and he could remove it if I wish but it will only improve her cosmetic appearance. I would have it checked out by a herp vet to be sure though. All though their different creatures it could happen, right? LOL
