because I got new geckos yesterday that I'm absolutely IN LOVE with, so I'm going to be snapping pics whenever I can.

I had to actually change Isobel's and Godzuki's paper towel out tonight because, well, Isobel just made a mess of her cage. So, I had to fix it.
And Godzuki dumped his water over so his enclosure got entirely too humid.

So, I snapped some shots.
Isobel, I noticed tonight, has some SERIOUS orange on her on her hind legs and on the base of her tail. WOW.

And Gozuki has that awesome enigma eye. And I LOVE how the outlines on his patterns is bright orange.
SO COOL.

i want a soft box

Here's a clue, though:

For most of my shots, I really do NOT need a soft box attached to my camera.
I'm just too lazy to take it off.:main_laugh:

Normally, my flash head is pointed straight up towards the ceiling where a soft box does absolutely nothing for my shot.
They're only really useful in shots where you want light that is less harsh.

This is something that would work with your built-in flash, Robin, if you're interested in softening light (not sure if you are):

Try a coffee filter taped over your flash.
Or a piece of white paper.

Crap, I tried last night to use my pop up flash on my camera because I wanted awesome eye shots like you get...and I don't know WHAT I have my settings set on my camera for, but, uh, I cannot figure out how to get a well lit picture using it!
I must've turned the power down on it.:main_huh:
I have no clue.
