Hey GF,
My name is Marco, as you can see A2kLunerGecko. Why that name? The year of birth, Luner comes from my first pet. A blazing blizzard, and you can tell where gecko came from!
I have no idea what to say here besides, I hope to learn from other dedicated herps. Just wanted to say hi that's it.
Ps: I sent in an application to a Magnet School in North Hollywood California by the Los Angeles Zoo hoping to be a herpetologist. Although I'm only 13, does anyone know a place I can volunteer so I can be a step ahead of most students there? If anyone has any idea, I'd really appreciate it!
Hope to meet most of you!

Welcome, Marco!

It's great that you have an interest in reptiles. I would suggest searching for youth volunteer opportunities at local animal centers, museums, or other nature centers. You may need to start with work that isn't directly with the animals, as the age requirements are often a little higher, especially for working with exotics. You may luck out and find a center that accepts student volunteers though.

My local reptile store has had a few teenage volunteers so if there's something like that where you live, you could ask if that's a possibility.

I volunteered at my local pet store when I was 14. You had to be 14 before they let you where I lived in NJ. It wasn't a reptile specialty shop but they had a few reptiles and I learned lots about quite a few different kinds of animals!
