I have the chance of getting a 4 foot long, 1 foot deep & 18" high tank. Is this suitable? I'm wondering if Gabe's leo would be happy in something of this size? I'm really questioning the 12" deep. Thanks for your opinions.

That might even be to0 big....that sounds like a 50 gallon tall? There is nothing wrong with 12" width, but 4' length might be too much. Difficult to get good temps. Thats a marathon from one side to the other lol

No such thing as TOO BIG for your leos. THough heating might be difficult.
The bigger the cage would not only make it harder to heat but also harder for the leo to catch its food unless you hand feed.

Well maybe you can get a divider... and split the cage in half. So that'll give a floor space of 24"x12" for each side. Which is the floor space of a 15 gallon tank. This size would be perfect for a leo. So now you can have one on one side and another on the other.
