    Baby Food?

Thanks for all your thoughts! I will definetely check the temperatures to make sure they are not too hot in their cages, but I've had my geckos in this particular setup for a year and a half and I can't imagine what would make the temperatures suddenly change? I always have my air conditioning...

    Baby Food?

Does anyone know if it's safe to feed leopards baby food? I have 3 adults and I'm extremely worried about them. Since the mealworm shortage they have not eaten anything! I've tried crickets, supers, wax worms, night crawlers, canned mealies... and nothing stimulates their appetites. I came home...

    Helping my geckos eat crickets

Hi guys! I just have a quick question about crickets. Since the national mealworm shortage, last week I finally had to break down and buy crickets after I finally ran out of mealies. The problem is, I can't put crickets in my geckos tanks because they are custom wooden cages and the crickets...

    gecko having seizure

My gecko passed away this morning. :( I wish I knew what was wrong with him and I hope that my other baby makes it. I haven't seen her eat yet. I'm almost wondering since I bought those 2 together from PetCo if the clutch they were from wasn't infested with parasites or some kind of bacterial...

    gecko having seizure

Thank you all for your advice - I just got home from buying fresh mealworms and crickets (ones that are alive haha) and I checked on my baby gecko and I am not even sure he is alive. :( His eyes are closed and he's very still but I hate to move him in case he is doing what moosassah described...

    gecko having seizure

Yes, they have lots of calcium. So, that's not it. :( The leo that was having the seizures has a very fat tail... so I'm thinking he's healthy nutritional wise?

    gecko having seizure

Hi everyone, I'm very concerned about one of my geckos. I have 4 total... 2 adults and 2 juveniles that are probably around 10 months old. My 2 adults are housed differently from the other 2 and are very healthy. Last week I noticed that one of my juvies tails was getting thinner and I was...

    Sick baby gecko

She actually passed away yesterday afternoon. :( I'm not sure what was wrong with her. She was fat even though she was small, but she was still smaller than the others - so possibly she was getting pushed around? I feel horrible, but the other 2 babies are doing good. I have an empty 60...

    Sick baby gecko

Hi guys, Yesterday I noticed that one of my baby geckos was lying on the cooler side of the tank not moving a whole lot. I looked at her a bit closely thinking she might be dead (thank goodness she wasn't) and she was still alive but there is definetely something wrong with her. She swishes...

Question about when to mix babies with adults?

Thanks guys for your help. I have a second larger tank ready to go just for the reasoning that I may have more than one male. If my one baby gets too big for his smaller tank and it gets overcrowded then I'll just put him in the bigger tank by himself until I know his sex and he is the same...

Question about when to mix babies with adults?

Hi everyone, I currently have 5 Leos. I have 2 adults and 3 babies. The adults are housed in a 59 gallon tank and the babies are currently housed together in a smaller tank. My babies are starting to get bigger and one in particular is growing faster than the others. I was wondering, at...

How do you get your Crickets to your reptiles?

I always throw toilet paper rolls into my cricket cages when I'm done with the toilet paper. The crickets crawl into them to hide (like with the egg cartons) and then you can just pick the rolls up and shake them into the Leos cages.

    Feeding crickets question

Hi Jason, Thanks for the reply! I do keep mealies in the cage with my leapords at all times. They eat out of their dishes very regularly. I will have to purchase a pair of tongs and try it that way - good idea! What else do you feed your geckos? Any other types of worms? Thx! Kecia

    Feeding crickets question

Hi! I have a question regarding whether or not you MUST feed crickets to leapords. I recently moved my 2 adults leapords into a custom made wooden cage. The only problem is, when I feed them crickets, the crickets instantly climb up the side of the tank and even settle at the top completely...

    Slate

Jmkbama - I didn't realize that you could use a UTH for the custom made tanks? I know the flooring is made of formica but I figured since the cages are wooden that it might be a fire hazard? If I can use a UTH then maybe I won't have to buy slate after all. I've been leaving my black...
