I think this is the smallest baby that I've had hatch and survive more than 24 hours. She actually hatched three days ago, but stayed in the incubator waiting for her yolk and umbillicus to detach. She hasn't given up yet!

Yeah, she really is that tiny. I usually hate it when people use lighters to show size reference, but I don't have any coins in my pockets. :(

EDIT: Her arm isn't fucked up, she's just sitting on it funny after I gently set her on the lighter.

That IS tiny. We've had two hatch at 2.1 and thrive hopefully your itty bitty one will do the same. Good luck with her Paul. I think you've had more than your fair share of bad lately, it has to be time for a happy ending story.

Ahhh... I hope the little one makes it! It deserves to live after making it out of the egg! That alone must have been hard for it!

i think she will do just fine paul. for the next week she may need a bit extra TLC but she will be fine :D

She's adorable!! So tiny! Tough Cookie was my smallest hatchling ever - but she was determined and has always been a great eater! This one looks like she won't be that tiny for long, either!! :nice:
