1 thing i hate about superworms

My little guy won't eat anything else, and my girl won't touch them.

I do hold them from time to time, but I don't really like to because of their pinching, so I usually pick them up and drop them into the dish with tweezers.
What I dislike the most about supers is the smell that the beetles give off when they are disturbed!

you can grab them just below the head thats what i do, then they cant bite you. it also helps them kinda dangle strait so the gecko doesnt go for your finger. i hate when they twirl around lol, just gotta hope the gecko has good timing if you let them twirl.

To all you hand feeders just want until your gecko grabs you instead of the food the pee thing won't seem that bad..LOL!!!!

Superworms peeing? haha, never heard or expreinced that before. Knock them on the head with a spoon and they wont bite or pee, they still wiggle, so your gecko should still be attracted to them.

it's gotta be a defense mechanism--mine only do it if you squeeze them too hard. I use bamboo tongs to hand feed most of my 180 geckos, and if you grasp them super gently, they won't squirt. but if you squeeze them more than necessary or harass them, they squirt that cloud of funk fluid at you--I got it in the face today--not very pleasant at all between that and the biting, I'm missing mealworms alot more these days. I just wish I could affford to feed all my geckos soldier larvae...
