Hi,

Just thought I would show some pics of my gecko. I just weighted him and he is 100 grams and just over 10 inches. He seems to still be growing. I have had him for about 5 months, so he is probably 6-7 months old. I know these pics aren't great, but I will try to put some better ones up when my camera is charged. He is one of the best pets I have owned. Thanks for looking.

Back when I got him:

when that start to get bigger like this, is a 10 gallon still big enough? I don't want him to be cramped in there.

Thanks! He did slow down eating for a while about a month ago, but now he is eating like crazy and growing pretty fast again. Not sure why.

Very nice big guy, he looks very healthy. Where did you get him at? Just curious because I got my little female patternless from a pet chain and she has already caught up to my 3+ month old hatchling and she's only 2 months.

He may have slowed down eating due to the weather change. I know my group did for about a week, then resumed once the house's heat was regulated.

As far as a tank, for a big guy like that (who probably isn't through growing quite yet) I would go with a 20 gallon, but that is my personal opinion, it's up to you :) You can usually find them on craigslist for fairly cheap, at least in my experience.

I also got him one of the big chain pet stores. I picked him because he was twice as big as all of the other geckos and looked very healthy. I was told by people on here that he is a murphys patternless, which would not make him a real "giant," but he does have the size. I'm going to start looking for a 20 gallon. The only reason I have been reluctant to change is because he is so used to this cage and I have it set up good for him with temps and stuff. I'm pretty sure it was the weather change that made him stop eating. It was about a week or two and now he is back on schedule.

I agree, about a 20 gallon being even better, mine isnt a giant but when i moved her to a 20 gallon she seemed to like it a lot more.
