So I just got back from ***** and they had 2 female leopard geckos in a cage together. One was healthy and the other had a shedding problem and was ultra skinny. She couldn't even open one of her eyes.

Do they not hire some one for just reptiles or something?

But I ended up getting the one that was needing help and they took off like 5 dollars. Which is a load of bull because they cant even take are of their reptiles.

oh trust me, it's not the first time. ugh it's so annoying and upsetting how petstores like this one don't take care of any of their animals. you should see what the geckos (even adults) are shipped in ... you think the little cups they give you to bring them home in are bad? try a cup with a diameter of three inches. 1 inch tall. makes me so sick. i REALLY don't understand why the aspca is still letting these shops carry animals anymore.... :main_angry:

The one by my house does have a person taking care of just the reptiles and amphibians... but it doesn't matter. They don't do their job right anyway

I can take some pictures of her but she isn't looking to good. She now wont open her right eye and there is skin all over her claws and she is even missing quite a few claws on top of it. It hurts so bad to see this from a pet store.

Take a little warm (lukewarm) water and a q-tip or cotton ball to get that stuck shed off. She dosn't look as bad as some I've seen. I sure she'll snap back as long as fatten her up some. All U Can Eat Buffet for her all day. :D

She doesn't look that bad. Her tail seems thick and healthy enough and her legs don't look too boney. If you take good care of her she should bounce back. Good for you for helping out a gecko in need! Bravo!

Yeah. She looks pretty good!

The store near my house, as I've said before, seems to take very good care of their reptiles. Granted it's a very small selection, but they don't over crowd and they farm their own crickets and even dust them! My only qualm is that they keep their leos on sand, and sometimes the cages are dirty, but all their animals seem happy and healthy. They have a tokay gecko that I guess someone brought in about two weeks ago or so. He was in pretty sad shape. But the other day when I went in to get some mealworms, he looked great! His tail which looked like a shriveled up leaf was nice and fat, and instead of laying on the ground, he was precariously clinging to the glass. lol I'm very pleased with the petstore and actually don't mind giving them my money.
