ok guys just wanted to ask what the longest period of time was for you on a 90 degree temp? i am a little worried about how long it is taking for this egg that was laid on 11-8. it has swelled a bit as if its ready to hatch but ive never really had eggs take longer than 6 weeks at this temp. anyone out there able to tell me it will be ok? my thermometer was broken so im nervous.

Your'e right... most eggs incubated at this tmeperature hatch in about 6 weeks. Have you candled the egg to see if there's anything init? I have actually had eggs go for the entire incubation time only to have nothing in them!

I have cut open so many eggs this season to see why the egg went bad and it breaks my heart too. I really can't advise one way or the other honestly. On one hand it obviously went way past the projected hatch date by 30 days or so , on the other hand is you never know?

I know my eggs went bad BEFORE I pip mine.

Definately let is cook longer if it is indeed pink!!!!

yea i had a 2 egg clutch that did this about 2 months ago, and they never hatched! So they are probably no longer good, that sucks when it happens this way, but it will make up for it's self in the future!

If your temperatures were off then I'd wait a little longer. Just from my experience, if you cut the egg open what's inside will either: a) be dead, b) be alive and not ready to hatch yet, or c) be alive and ready to hatch on it's own. It's a tough call. I hate cutting eggs open...

well guys just a update, the egg is still alive. maybe its hollow it kind of appears that way. the inside has only a little dark color/shadowing. temps still at 88-90. how long can a hollow egg live? i wonder if 2 years from now a super gecko will hatch out of it lol, ya never know eh?
