Is there any special reason on using computer paper instead of paper towel or any other kind? Does it hold smell better or something, or it is just because you use it as your usual substrate?

I'm going to try this in the following weeks. My females aren't being nice to the boys :main_no:

Sandra I use computer paper because it says in place better and I feel the scent stays longer on the computer paper IMO. Good luck and let me know if there is any thing else you need help with.

3 for 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All 3 of of the females i talked about on the first page have visually ovulated and Visually Copulated with the Male!!!!

I just want to give a Big thanks to Eric for Letting out this "Trick" And i am ready for some "Treats".

I almost gave up on this group because all three females wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with the male..... (Brings back Middle School Memories:main_rolleyes:) But once again Thanks Eric and i hope it is working well for others...

This has worked so far with one of my females that I've been waiting for to start ovulating, now waiting on the other.

Also, after observing my leos, it seems that the female actually seeks out the male. So sometimes it helps to put the female in with the male, instead of the other way around.

I'm doing something similar to the paper trick now, just trying something new. The male has his enclosure where he marks it and such, then I take him out and switch the males and females. Once I notice the females ovulating, I'll put them back into their original enclosure where the male has been waiting. Should get both genders ready to go.

Thanks so much for posting this!

I tried this with two of my females, one started ovulating right away, the second one's getting there, I can feel it! Tonight Amber met Dusty, I'll post pics after xD.

Congrats Mary and Katie!

I started out the season wanting to breed 12 females, I have 2 left that have now just started ovulating. It looks like I should be done breeding around the last week of February. Much better than last year were I never shut down the incubator! Best of luck to you all!

So out of curiousity, can the papers come from any male or the one you are going to breed her with. I only ask because I have a couple males not in any projects and that would make them useful.

This is obviously a great idea, as everyone is having such good luck with it, and I may try it when I'm ready for my little ones to breed, but I've just one question;

Do males really drag their junk around? Or are they actually dragging their pores around? They secrete a waxy substance, right?

This sounds cool, very similar to snake tricks. Oftentimes if you put a competing males shed skin in a water spray bottle and spray a female you want to breed, the scent of the other male will drive your guy crazy and they'll lock up right away. So crazy how this stuff works! Kudos for helping so many people out though!

Cheers,
-Matt
