Yo Man, nice geckos but I have a slight problem here. I clicked on this post expecting to see a post by Shaun Pruitt who has been using the name leggomygecko for at least at least three or four years now. Not only has he been using it as his user name he actually owns the domain name (leggomygecko.com). I checked your user profile and you only rent the name from a larger web-hosting site (ieasysite.com). Not cool man.:main_thumbsdown: Please change your name to avoid confusion.

PS You are producing some really nice Fat-tails. Keep up the great work. :main_thumbsup:

name ??

hey man , he and I ve spoken the name is different . I ve been using my name since 1998 when I left sandfire. I actually started it befor I worked for them but being so involved with dragons it got put on the back burner. I dont know how long he s been using it, buit its different. I ve owned the name "LECKO MY GECKO" since 98. he breeds leopards, and I breed fat tails, leaf tails, ect... you and I ve met at a few shows years ago. I worked for sandfire doing the eastcoast shows then I stopped doing the show circuit to focus on my geckos instead of breeding for and selling Bob's dragons. I also did shows with Mark from "golden gecko" selling my geckos under "lecko my gecko". He s been out of bus. for a while now and I took over some of his stock when he got out. as far as shuan, I spoke to him the other day and I asked but he didnt say how long he s been using the name. and like I said to him,I dont really sell leopards and he doesnt do fat tails. and we ve got a lot of time into our businesses to really make a big deal about it. anyway in the las 10 yrs there has been no confusion I didnt even know he was around till I joined this forum. what do you think about it? oh and I own "leckomygeck.com" just been using the easysite cause Im doing my own web stuff and it easy to work for someone like me with not alot of computer experience.

Thank you for sharing your pictures Nick. Your Fat Tails look great. :main_yes:

Albey, I really do not think that this was the correct place to bring up this matter. You could have simply sent him a PM to express your concern on this matter.

Hi Nick,
I would like to apologize to you for my earlier post. You would think someone who has been around over 55 years would have learned by now not to stick his nose into somebody else business. I guess I still have some learning to do.

When I wrote the post I was under the impression that you had just copied Shaun Pruitt’s (who is a regular poster here on GeckosForum.net) user name “leggomygecko”. I have since then found out you have been using your "lecko my gecko" name for at least ten years now. Shaun unbeknownst just happened to come up with a very similar name when he named his company and decided on a user name. Since you have been out of the loop for a good while nobody in the current Gecko community knew about your company name, myself included. If I had known I would have certainly advised Shaun to come up with another name. What makes thing even worse is I now find out that you and I are old acquaintances from many past Reptile shows. How embarrassing!

In my defense I was taking up for a friend. Under the circumstances I thought he was being done wrong. Shaun has had that user name for at least the last three or four years on a number of different Reptile Forums. You having been away for at least that long and I am sure you had no idea someone else was using a very similar name. Shaun has decided to combine his Gecko Site and his Ball Python Site into one entity. This should at least end the confusion of “leggomygecko” or “lecko my gecko”.

I hope you will accept my apology and hopefully this is all over. If so please post some pictures of that kick ass Patternless Fat-tail you have in your arsenal. That thing is Bad To The Bone.

Albey, I really appreciate you posting this, and deffinately accept your apology. Im sure if I had not taken such a long hiatus from the public side of the reptile world, there never would ve been any confusion. I ve been taking care of my grandmother, working and breeding and just needed a break from doing shows and such. shaun emailed me and explained his plans and though not what I asked, I do appreciate the respect he s showing me. I thank both you and him for that. again thanks nick

Yes, I am working on this as we speak, so Leggomygecko will be no more, I will have that domain for probably another year or so, just to direct people to the new site, this will help BOTH of us a great deal!

No problem Nick, you deserve it. You didn't ask for this name change, I want everyone to know that, its been something that I have been thinking about for awhile, it just makes more sense to me, and then I found out you indeed did have this name registered for 10 years, it made my decision for me, and thats what I needed, just a little push to go for it. I'll have it all changed over in a week or so. Now back to your awesome Fat Tails, they need to be the topic of conversation here!!
