a few question about my new leos

over the past couple of weeks i have been expanding my collection- i have 3 new geckos:
1 sub adult albino female,
1 hatchling albino het blizzard male
and 1 hatchling double het albino and blizzard female

they are housed seperately in a rack with the hot end at 90F

and i have some behavioral questions:
both the sub adult and the hatchling male refuse to leave their hide-both are eating but only when mealworms are placed at the mouth of their caves.

the hatchling female is sat in the corner next to her hide and i have yet to see her go in it but she ate a mealworm last night.

( i got the hatchlings 2 days ago and the sub adult just over a week ago)

am i right to assume they require a few days/weeks to settle in before they properly explore?

also i am trying to get my existing male to eat mealworms ( never had them before) i take it he will eat them when he is hungry enough?

so i realise it is alot of questions/reading

Your setup sounds good. The geckos are adjusting, and as you can see, they vary in their habits about where they want to be. Hopefully the male will eat mealworms eventually, although I have to admit I've caved to most of my adults who prefer crickets.

The hatchlings are still settling in to their new surroundings. Give it some time. It's good they are eating. Due to the fact they are hatchlings, they are probably more cautious anyway, since they would be a good snack for various animals in their natural habitat. Your existing male should take to eating mealworms when he is hungry enough. Good luck!
