that's the thing. i haven't heard *anything* negative.
you won't get all enigmas though, you'll get 75% enigmas and 25% normals from your typical enigma x enigma cross

the incentive to produce lots of enigmas is pretty low considering the pricing these days

the incentive to produce most morphs is pretty low considering the prices.so many people are breeding right now that practically no one is making any money, not that most do anyhow but its even less now plsu the pooey economy. i would imagine most of the breeding being done right now is because people like their geckos and enjoy it rather than looking to make money.

animals that cost $500 last year will sell for about $100 this year. not many morphs are holding their prices at all. right now its all about what people are willing to pay and most people can not afford the more expensive stuff, the economy is crap and the gecko market totally over saturated.

ya know what i mean? i could honestly care less who buys them, i know even if i have to let them go for $15 to a whole saler, as long as i get what i want. but i really dont think ill have that problem, since they will all be bell 100% het for blizzard

yeah i do. you are doing it because you want to make it (the gecko) and you enjoy what you are doing NOT about the money and this is a good thing

yes but by doing a BBB you might get purple eyes but you are not going to get a purple body :p

i have already thought about how to make a lavender or purple gecko.

i donno. Mr Monsters already has quite a bit of purple through out his body. so with a lil line breeding i should be there in the next 2 or 3 years.

yeah yeah but remember what albinism does, it removes melanin. using BBB's you are gonna have to start putting color back into them which is like running in circles because of the albinism trait.
plus you are gonna have to be lucky enough to a) produce more BBB's and 2) produce purple eyes and then getting those both into the same gecko

That's what the Enigma gene is for... I'm working the same angle just not with such a high caliber pairing...

yes ( actually you dont get the dark pigmentation from enigmas) but the dark pigmentation in albinos is void. unless you have an old school dookie brown tremper and thats not purple its kinda maroon/brown

Sounds like a great pairing to me Nevin.

The enigma gene is for enhancing color over here :D

Yeah, but Bell Enigmas can have VERY dark pigmentation...

Remember the first ones Kelli got?

Kelli's pic of an original gangster Bell Enigma...

they came in all sorta of colors and patterns, it just wasnt about increased melanin. this guy is not an albino either.
