Even if there was no sperm retention which is not the case I believe Justin has no enigmas and the parents are clearly not enigmas . it still could be one. Mark Bell himself said the enigmas just popped out randomly from his colonies. May be Justin got REALLY lucky.

Justin have you gotten other hatchlings from this pairing? or have any more eggs cooking.

Still not saying it is an enigma. BUT there is a possibility, however slight it is.

Think about this , If you had made another post and posted pix of this hatchling and asked what you though everyone else thought it was what would be the % of knowledgeable people here that thought enigma
A LOT

The super snow has no hets. Was bought from a breeder at 35 grams. Matured with me and started ovalating with me and this is her first year breeding. The breeders has told me in the past that he has no eclipse genetics in his stock because i had a question about them along time ago.

The male was bought from a pet store as a hatchling. Saw it was going to be a Hypo tangerine of some kind so i bought it because it was only 20 dollars.

Enigma is a NO, 100% NO! No sperm retention because its her first year breeding and i have no enigmas. Search the forum bout my views on enigmas and you will know for sure its not. I've been told it looks enigma and if it is then its a random mutation and not related to the current morph.

Pictures are included of related hatchling from clutches that hatched before this one.

Thanks for everyone helping me out with this puzzle. I appreciate it more then you think. Any questions are helpfull for me to figure out this guy.

Easy, tiger. This a process of elimination and the info you just supplied rules out sperm retention in this case.

However, one point that should be made re: "No hets." You can never know that with 100% certainty unless you pulled it from the wild or its ancestors were unpolluted wild stock. That is why I will usually add a qualifier in there such as "no *known* hets" to include remote possibilities. A single gene copy can sneak through despite many generations, although the probability becomes statistically slimmer as each generation passes.

That picture is alittle old but he still looks the same. He is darker then normal and he is one of my favorite of all that i have. :D I can't wait til this little hatchling grows up so I can see whats gonna happen.

Well as of right now the little guy is still having trouble eating by himself. Its getting aggrivating but i'm trying to do all I can. Its hard to get something that small to eat when it doesn't want to. I just have to stay calm with the little guy and take a deep breath. He is growing but at a super slow rate.

Its about to shed as we speak or atlesast he was a hour ago, so he should be done when I get off work. He still has some dark eyes and not for sure whats really happening as of yet with them. He still looks the same but is starting to get a darker yellow and has more spots.

I don't want to jump the gun on this one so he is for sure a nice looking hypo snow and a little differant one at that too. Until he proves me wrong thats what he is and i'm happy with it.:D

I'll post some new pics after he sheds! :main_thumbsup:

Wanted to get some natural light pictures on the updated pics. He's starting to look alot different then he did when he hatched. The eyes are starting to look more normal but still are dark. You can see the pupil coming through but theres not color to it besides the pupil and black around it. . One thing that I am concerned about is his sensativity to light. When a bright light gets on him, he freeks out horribly and goes flying all over the place. Its wierd! I tried taking him outside and take some pictures but he wouldn't stay still in the sunlight. He was going 90 to nothin! Makes me think that he has some ticks that arn't good. I really don't know what happening with him. Also he still is small and not growing that fast at all but still is growing some.
