I got the retained shed off of him last night. He was none too happy with me, but he didn't bite (thank goodness).
I did notice, though, that it would have been really helpful to grow a few more sets of arms. I'd get him to hold still, reach for the q-tip, he'd wiggle around, I'd put the q-tip down, reposition him and we'd do it all over again.
This went on for a good 20 minutes. :main_rolleyes:
But... the shed is off and he found a great new hiding spot in my sports bra. Its a give and take with these little leo guys, I guess.

Now I'm off for the eternal quest for mealie bugs... Wish me luck.

Thank you, everybody!!

Crickets really help with MBD?

I'm still new to this forum, but I can answer this for you. No, crickets don't help with MBD, it's the calcium/vitamin supplementaion(s?) that helps. (I think thats what was trying to be said in the other post). Crickets are actually the lowest on the list of "healthy" bug feeders which is why Jordan mentioned "gut loading" them 24 hrs ahead. Top on that list of the healthiest feeders would be either silkworms or Phoenix worms :main_yes: but they tend to get expensive.

Good Luck w/ this little guy(I have one who has the exact same coloring) and Kudos!! to you for the rescue.:main_thumbsup:
