Abosolute first stab at graphic design.

As the title says, this is my first try at graphic design. I don't have a great program for it, (corel paint shop pro 9) but it isn't horrible either. I would love some constructive criticism. These are 468x60 and 125x125 ads for my soon-to-luanch website.

Hey! I like the 468x60. The 125x125 isn't bad but the white space is awkward. Maybe try a different photo?

The 125x125 looks a little bit like a photoshop picture. I don't know if maybe something besides a stark white background would make it better. The other one looks good.

OK, I redid the last one using black. It still looks kind of funny probably because it was a very large photo at first. I'll also try another photo. Thanks for commenting!

I like that one! also the 468X60.

The box with the snake looks good. Uses the space pretty well. The banner is a little dark- like the white is gray.

you can try http://www.gimp.org/ its free and there are A LOT of tutorial and brushes that you can find. I had corel to and couldn't stand it, lol.

Yeah, I didn't white out the background on that one. The photo was taken with a white background though.
