Ok, so this is another thing I've missed. How come it looks to me like a "chocolate" tremper enigma to me? Anyone know the story on these?

OK, so the tremper enigma have those weird orange eyes...still, they look very similar.

I think that the general consensus was that almost all Snake Eyed Eclipses have red veining. I guess he was hoping to sell a few more by renaming them. I just saw a thread about Alex Hue marketing what looks like an Eclipse as a "Hue Pinstripe" in Europe. The Economy is slow so people are getting creative I guess. I think I'm going to start renaming ours after cocktails.

:main_laugh: Excellent job summing it up, Mel. And I just saw that about the "Hue Pinstripe", which to my "untrained eye", looks an AWFUL lot like an eclipse. *sigh*

Okay, I admit that I am really out of the loop of things - I feel like I barely have time to breathe let alone read forums and worse yet post. BUT, I remember that Alex was marketing pinstripe leopard geckos in 2005. Never saw any pics, but if you search pinstripe leopard geckos on his forum you get a price list from 2005. I was looking forward to pics of this at the time, but don't remember seeing them. This past February, he posted this thread. I just heaved a big sigh and moved along after seeing it then. Although, now that I see later posts, he does seem to recognize that it is an eclipse, but maybe he could've beaten Ron to it??

Currently, I've seen reference to his pinstripe morph. What I haven't seen are any recent pics. Is this current pinstripe related to both the clearly eclipse gecko thread AND the 2005 pinstripes???? I have no idea. If so, I think he may predate Tremper?

On another note: I thought Abyssinian was a special term for the marbled look that some eclipses get (same genetics, diff look). Or is it just the more pronounced red veining?

Don't feel bad, Nancy... my day job IS my geckos, and I haven't got a clue what half of these morphs are.
