AFT or G. Luii?

So, I want to get one of the above but am not sure which one I want yet. I think cave geckos, especially the G. Luii brand are amazing looking but I would have to ship one in which adds cost. Plus finding them in general can be difficult in the States.

There is a really cute/black grey AFT that has been inprisoned by the Petco down the street from me that I've sort of found interesting... plus I can get him for half off. The Petco is better than most Petco's but I always see risk in petstore geckos.

So, which would you go for? Ship in a (hopefully) awesome G.Luii or buy the sad little AFT at the Petco? I am only getting one more... its my "I am not going to breed this year" door prize... to take away the pain... (haha.. joking, I'm not breeding because I just don't think I'll have the time.

I really like the Cave Geckos but like you said they aren't easy to find and would be a lot more expensive.

I would get an AFT if you want to hold it. I don't think you can handle a cave gecko that much (??).

From what I have read holding Cave Geckos is pretty much a no. I guess I should question rather or not I want another shy animal that I never see. I am not a big, "let me hold you," type, but I like to see them on a regular basis.

The cave gecko would give you a wow factor and a unique addition to your collection though. Still which do you have the expense and setup ability for?

Well, I have everything for the AFT minus a tank, I have a small terrarium which would be ok for a young G.Luii and would probably have to deck out his enclosure more. I am actually going to see if I can sell said terrerium since it is small (for a failed moth project). I would have to do some shopping for both, AFT would again cost a little less.
