How old is Too Old? I have a Normal Female Gecko from ***** who is about 5 years of age and I am looking into breeding her. She is very healthy. I doubt I will breed her this season, but am hopefully planning on breeding her this coming breeding season.
Another question of mine. What male would produce good looking offspring?
Tangerine
Albino Tremper Giant
Mack Snow
Blizzard
Other- Please Explain

Sorry but I'm new to genetics so please bare with me.

without knowing the females genetics it is hard to say so as to which male, its up to you! for age, I have read of geckos older then that by many years breeding. My first female to ever breed had to have been at least 5 years old. She had no trouble at all, just didn't produce a lot of eggs and I was fine with that.
Good Luck when you do breed her!

You dont have to worry about age. These guys can live up to 30 years in the wild. A reptile store in my ocmmuntiy has a 17 year old female that still lays eggs each season.

As long as they are still healthy at that age then its fine. They live for much longer if taken care of well enough. Just remember to keep her well fed, and supplied with calcium.

I'm bias a little when it comes to morphs to breed with cause I love snows most. So I would say go with a Super Snow. If you do that, despite her being a normal, you can get some snows out of the pairing. =D

Thanks for the help guys.
One last question.
How do I prevent my female from stepping on her eggs when laying?

Females will normally push the eggs around a bit when they lay them, but they generally don't "crush" them that easily. There really would have to be quite a bit of pressure to do that. She will more than likely take good care of the eggs after she lays them.

My female stepped on her egg when she kept walking around the container trying t olay the 2nd egg that never came.
