Hi I am new lol! Thats totally not obvious. Anyways I just got these 2 geckos today, and have no idea what kind they are. I bought a new berdie from the same person. Not sure if the previous owners are awake right now what but in order to get the right setup for them I need to know what they are. Any help would be great! Was told they will be huge. Not a normal size. Thanks so much!

I think the one on the left is a leopard gecko. Not sure about the one on the right, but it might be a leo, too. Anyone willing to back me up on this claim?

They are both leopard geckos. one on the left/front is a SHT Super Hypo Tangerine and the one of the right/back is a patternless. Looks as if the patternless is a male, so you might have a male/female pair there. Make sure to house them separately!

Also they look to be adult/fullgrown but could be wrong.

Ok. They have been housed together for a year. I am curious as to why seperate them now? Ya'll are the experts lol not me. Thanks again....Maybe I should just post in a diff part. And I would love love a care sheet on them?!? can you tell what care sheet to look for or post a link? You guys are awesome!

There should be *plenty* of care sheets here under the care sheets / articles subforum. Also, you'd house them separately (if they are indeed a male/female pair), because I am sure you do not want to have tons of little eggs to care for.

Well first I would like to Welcome you to GF. Second, I know breeding reptiles is very fun and all but I think you should wait until you have at least a year of husbandry experience before you try to breed them. However, since this suggestion often is not taken seriously, I think if you want good husbandry information begin by checking the sites listed above in the site sponsors or geckosetc.com has a good one. As far as the size of the geckos, did the previous owner tell you why they would get "huge" (aka giant genetics or something)?

Well yes and no. Just said that they are a rare one and will get to 18 inches. I have way of knowing if this is the norm or not. And heck no I don't want to breed and am totally not gonna do it for long time maybe never!

I have never heard of an 18 inch leo, 12 is the max I've seen. I'm sure that 18 inches is impossible, once again, do some research.

I have been doing research. Till my eyes bleed. Owner said they need a new home asap. I felt bad and saw the substrate and just knew bark wasnt a good idea at all. so I got em to help em. Not worried about the size ATM just want to make sure am getting the right info to start with them. Am putting them in seperate tanks, have all the stuff to set up for them. Thanks for your help.
