So when i have my AC on it cools down the hot side, I know it sounds dumb but I have my thermostat probe where he is sitting in a hide on the hot side where the probe is. So why is the thermostat probe just not telling the heatmat to go to a higher energy so it stays the same degrees? PS: im ordering a new thermostat (jumpstart) just to see if the thermostat is the problem.

It may be hot enough on the floor (which is going to be different than the temperature in the air) that the thermostat doesn't need to turn on. If you put your hand on the hot side, it should feel warm, not really hot. Have you measured the temperature on the floor where the probe is? If it's not getting hot enough, you can always turn the thermostat higher. If you have the thermostat as high as it goes and you measure the temperature on the floor and it's still not hot enough, it's more likely to be a problem with your heat mat than with your thermostat.
